Microscopic Social Club

€25.00

A rather polite gathering of biomorphic shapes that appear to be attending a party they aren't entirely sure they were invited to. Gozi has captured the exact moment when several colourful organisms realize they’ve been placed on a stark white background and have absolutely no plan for what happens next.

The Visual "Conversation"

  • The Red Centrepiece: Looking suspiciously like a map of a country that doesn't exist, this shape is filled with internal white squiggles that suggest it’s thinking very hard about something.

  • The Cyan Starfish: Hovering above with an air of unearned confidence. It’s blue, it’s pointy, and it’s clearly the one who brought the dip.

  • The Yellow Wiggles: Two mustard-coloured entities that seem to be trying to exit the frame discreetly via the sides. They’ve gone for a "distressed coral" look, which is quite brave of them.

  • The Bottom Blue Sliver: A minimalist afterthought at the base, providing just enough visual weight to stop the whole thing from floating away into the void of the living room wall.

A Brief Word from the Curator

"It’s a triumph of 'Blob-ism'. This piece is for the collector who finds recognizable objects a bit too demanding. It’s art that says: 'I have taste, but I also have a very relaxed attitude toward biological accuracy.' Truly a must-have for anyone who wants their guests to ask, 'Is that... supposed to be a cell?'"

Specifications for the Calmly Confused

  • Artist: Gozi (who signed it quite clearly, so don't blame us).

  • Palette: Primary colours, but through a filter of "sophisticated apartment."

  • Style: Amoebic Chic.

  • Placement: Hang it anywhere you need to hide a scuff mark on the wall while appearing deeply intellectual.

Pairs exceptionally well with an overpriced candle and the act of staring out of a window during a light drizzle.
